| "Hey Stevie" started in San Francisco in 1989 with Stevie Heger and Tom Jacob* forming a live show to support the release of their first three LP's, written and produced together (available at: www.pacificsol.com). As session players and sidemen for the Beach Boys, Heger and Jacob made "Hey Stevie" their pet project, performing across the U.S. through 2003 before Jacob left the band for a solo career in Los Angeles. Heger went on to re-form the group himself with an all new line-up of musicians from Santa Cruz, California. On September 11th, 2004 the all new "Hey Stevie" recorded a DVD and CD of recent original material in a live-to-two-track show in front of a studio audience of 120 people at Al Jardine's Red Barn Studio in Big Sur, California. A release date is set for July 4th, 2007. With influences ranging from Steely Dan to Crowded House, there's something for everyone in this highbrow, pop-jangly, adult guitar and background vocal oriented commercial FM radio act. |
